All credit reports contain four areas:
1. Identification
and employment data:
Name, address (past and present), social security number,
date of birth, employment information (past and present).
2. Payment
history:
This is the section that lists all your creditors. The name
of the creditor, account number, type of account, date
account was opened, date of last activity, current balance,
number of late payments, installment or revolving account,
whether account is individual or joint, and whether account
is open or closed. Accounts sent to collection agencies are
listed as well.
3. Inquiries:
Any party who has requested your credit score within the
last two years will appear on your report. Too many
inquiries on a credit report will adversely reflect your
score.
4. Public
record information: All
information which is found in a public record search is
listed in this section such as judgments, foreclosures, tax
liens, and bankruptcies.
