How long does the chapter 7 process last?
The process takes generally three months from the date of
the filing of the petition to the date of discharge. After
the case is filed, approximately thirty days later the 341
meeting of creditors will be scheduled. Sixty days after
the 341 meeting, the court will issue the discharge. If
your 341 case is continued, then your discharge will issue
sixty days after the rescheduled 341 meeting.
